I loved this book for lots of reasons, not least among them the quoted bon mots beginning each chapter. "The big difference between sex for money and sex for free, is that sex for money usually costs a lot less. Brendan Behan" It is rich with the sweariness and slanguage of Ireland. A believable portrait of the eccentricities of the posh/rich/privileged and life in the Big House. A sentimental, without being mawkish, "coming of age" story.
